Madea's Farewell Tour
"It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Madea"
Tyler Perry 's Madea Franchise has thrilled a diverse audience with films exploring poverty, race, sexual assault, love and more. But in October, Tyler Perry announced that he would be bringing the Madea Franchise to an end with a final movie and a stage play called the Madea's Farewell Play Tour.
Tickets went on sale in November with the West Coast leg of the tour kicking off in Oakland, Calif. on Jan. 18 and ending in Las Vegas on Jan. 27. For now, the tour only takes place in California, Nevada, and Arizona but we all know that more dates are soon to come.
I remember taking our sons to see Madea in Philly and although it will be hard to say, "goodbye" to the franchise we will always have memories of Madea, and some of the original cast members including Tamela Mann and David Mann of the "Meet the Browns" sitcom and of course Cassi Davis of "House of Payne" fame.
It has also been reported that shortly before the tour wraps, the writer and producer will be leaving the legendary character behind him with his final Madea project, Madea’s Family Funeral set to hit theaters March 1, so get your tissues ready and get ready to sing, "It's so hard to say goodbye to Madea".
Tickets for the shows are available on Ticketmaster here.
