Christian evangelicals and the murdered colonizer

Mathew 24:14 says, ‘The good news of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world so that all nations will hear it and then the end will come.’

Evangelicals believe that in order for the end to come, every nation needs to be touched. The goal is to tell everyone about the gospel. Yet, the Christian missionary push around the world has had a bad track record. There has been a long standing negative backlash to the evangelical lifestyle.

Religious people were often at the vanguard of colonial efforts. Spreading religion was seen as a way to civilize people outside of Europe and the US. Several religions have sent missionaries around the world, none are more widespread or well-known than Christian missionaries.
